Health Hack #12: Swap Cassava Flour Wraps for Bread

It’s time to stop eating wheat. For reasons far beyond just lectins, wheat is damaging our DNA. Refined wheat products have a high glycemic index (GI), meaning they can cause your blood sugar levels to spike. They've also been stripped of virtually all nutrients, are full of inflammatory properties, pesticides, chemicals and are not a natural part of our ancestral human diet. Cavemen did not eat crackers or bread…. more on this topic later. But here is a simple hack to try to transition out all that flour!

Try a Cassava Flour Wrap or Almond Flour Wrap for a simple way to swap wheat for a less-inflammatory alternative. The best news for those of you on-the-go, is that you can store-buy these and are usually available in the freezer aisle at Wegman’s or Whole Foods and can be stored in the freezer.
